Life's great accomplishments come with a price tag: hard work. In a fast-changing world, those who work hard and smart are the ones who inevitably enjoy the highest levels of success.

American publisher Elbert Hubbard (right) observed, "When troubles arise, wise men go to their work." Easier said than done. During difficult times, we are tempted to complain, to procrastinate, to worry, and to do little else. Usually, complaints and worries change nothing; intelligent work, on the other hand, changes everything for the better.

Whatever the problem, hard work, thoughtfully planned, can help. So the next time you feel the urge to gripe or fret, go to your work. Work beats worry every time.
