In 1933,
Albert Einstein arrived in America, a refugee from
Nazi Germany. Einstein soon began his tenure at Princeton University, a position
he held until his death in 1955. Though known for his highly complex and
imaginative theories, he once advised, "Make everything as simple as
possible, but not simpler." That’s simple advice, but true, as the
following quotations attest.

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe
"The wisdom of life consists in the elimination of nonessentials."
Lin Yutang
"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."
Leonardo da Vinci

simplify, simplify…simplicity of life and evolution of purpose."

"Reduce the complexity of life by eliminating the needless wants of
life, and the labors of life reduce themselves."

on making it" complicated.
Confucius

Leonardo da Vinci
"Every creative act requires elimination and simplification. Simplification
results from a realization of what is essential."
