On
this day in 1998, Frank Sinatra died. The Chairman of the Board was 82. Sinatra
had charmed the socks off the bobby-soxers, and he had more top 40 hits than
Elvis. He appeared in sixty movies and countless television shows. Old Blue Eyes
had the following advice about life. He said, “You gotta love living, baby, and
you gotta love it now.” That’s great advice from the Chairman of the Board. And
now, the following notable men and women second the Chairman’s motion.
While
Alive, Live
Somebody should tell us, right at the start of our lives, that we are
dying. Then we might live life to the limit, every minute of every day. Whatever
you want to do, do it now! There are only so many tomorrows.
Michael Landon
“Do not act as if you had a thousand years to live.”
Marcus Aurelius
”Tomorrow’s life is too late. Live today.”
Martial

Marcelene Cox

Mickey Mantle
”Live out your life in its full meaning. It is God’s life.”
Josiah Royce
