Think of your life as a sailboat, and then ask yourself this question: Is your hand firmly upon the rudder as you steer your craft toward a brighter tomorrow, or are you drifting wherever the winds and waves happen to carry you? The answer to this question can have a profound impact on the quality of your day and the quality of your life.

Life here in the 21st Century is uncertain, of course, but uncertainty is no excuse for fuzzy thinking or sloppy planning. That's why you should invest ample time planning for this day and each day that follows (If you don't, who will? Or should?). And then, of course, you should summon the energy and the courage required to implement your plans, come what may.
